Lost Home Worlds by Sam Hains

​Lost Home Worlds is a collection of 250 3D immersive, sculptural works that explores grief, memory, and the invisible architecture of the psyche through simulation. In each piece, a fantasy imagination of a science fiction city architecture rests within a glass bell jar. Each tabletop world is posed in a custom virtual environment that becomes a solitary shrine of contemplation for the viewer. Composed of thousands of assets from Hains’ extensive custom archives, each generative, 3D space is assembled through a collage of shader code, javascripting, 3D objects, digital imaging inputs, and electronic sound design.
