Billboard Executive Julian Holgui Named as New CEO of Doodles
Former Billboard President Julian Holguin has joined Doodles as CEO, according to the NFT collective.
The official Doodles account tweeted earlier: “Julian will work alongside the founders to expand Doodles IP throughout music, gaming, and entertainment, while deeply integrating culture into the product.”
That's appropriate given Holguin's decades-long career in the music and entertainment industries. Holguin worked at Billboard for ten years, serving as vice president of brand partnerships, senior vice president of revenue and partnerships, and, president starting in 2021.
Doodles is a collection of 10,000 non-fungible tokens, also known as NFTs, on the Ethereum blockchain that was launched in October 2021 by Evan Keast, Scott Martin, and Jordan Castro. NFTs are deeds to other assets based on the blockchain, in this case, a sequence of animated humans, apes, living flames, cats, and skeletons. On OpenSea, Doodles now have a floor price ("buy-now") of 22 ETH (about $53,700).
