Bugatti Partners With Asprey a Gold Sculpture Car with NFTs
The partnership's initial drop, which will debut in March, will also include 261 smaller sterling silver sculptures, each with its own NFT.
Bugatti has collaborated with London jeweler Asprey to create a gold sculpture and matching NFT of the La Voiture Noire hypercar. The gold sculpture and NFT will only be available in a single edition, while the two firms aim to make 261 silver sculptures, each with its own NFT.
The team chose 261 because it is the top speed of the real-life 'La Voiture Noire' car.
Each sculpture owner will have access to their NFT via a QR code. Every sculpture will also have a unique identifier, though whether those identifiers will be off-chain or on the blockchain is unknown.
Although the sculptures are scheduled to be released in March, there is no word on how much each will cost. Given the limited edition nature of the collection and the fact that they will be made of precious metals silver and gold, they will almost certainly command a high price.
According to the Asprey-Bugatti website, art has always played an important role in Bugatti's history. The Bugatti founder was born into a family of sculptors and artists. These new limited edition art pieces honor both the La Voiture Noire hypercar's craftsmanship and the artistry in the brand's history.
