Crypto Exchange OKX to be Man City’s Official Training Kit Partner for 2022/23 Season

‍OKX, a cryptocurrency exchange, has announced a partnership with English Premier League (EPL) champions Manchester City to become the team's training kit sponsor for the 2022-23 season.

The OKX agreement will draw a lot of attention to business branding, considering that Manchester City won the EPL last season and looks set to win it again this season after signing Norwegian star striker Erling Haaland.

Despite the current bear market, it looks that crypto and sports collaborations are still going strong, with Everton just striking a match kit sponsorship deal with crypto gaming startup Stake. PSG has also released preseason nonfungible token (NFT) tickets at the same time.

OKX's logo will appear on both men's and women's training kits until mid-2023 as part of the agreement, with current previews displaying OKX's name on the front of training shirts in the lower chest area.

Furthermore, OKX said that it has engaged well-known street artist Akse P19 and the Global Street Art Agency to produce four QR-coded pieces of art in Manchester. In the OKX Hospitality Box, fans may scan them for a chance to win season tickets. Players like Haaland, Jack Grealish, Joo Cancelo, and John Stones are featured in the street art.

The two have been working together since March when OKX was chosen to be the official cryptocurrency exchange partner of Manchester City. Additionally, they have said that more Web3-focused fan engagement initiatives would be implemented.
