NFT project Deadfellaz teams up with fantasy sports brand DraftKings to release zombie trading cards based on 13 NFL players. The cards will be released on October 25th in two rarity levels: common and rare. Each player will have their own common and uncommon trading card versions.

DraftKings intends to utilize the cards in their Reignmakers NFT fantasy football event, which features weekly prize pools of up to $1 million. Collectors who purchase the cards will also be eligible for prizes, one of which will be an airdrop of a unique Deadfellaz NFT. Despite the fact that the cards will be distributed around Halloween, Reignmakers players will be able to utilize them throughout the NFL season.

DraftKings co-founder Matt Kalish complimented the Deadfellaz NFT project, claiming it has established itself as one of the most influential Web3 initiatives to date. He went on to say that this cooperation will provide Reignmakers gamers a Halloween touch for the games around this time of year. He further added,

With this collaboration, we are connecting our communities to create a Reignmakers Football experience with a Deadfellaz twist that we believe you can’t get anywhere else. We are excited for The Horde to experience Reignmakers Football in time for the Halloween weekend’s football matchups.

Deadfellaz has been on a partnership tear recently, collaborating with a variety of firms to promote the project's IP to a broader audience.

We are thrilled to be working with DraftKings on this collection, said Betty & Psych, Co-Founders of Deadfellaz. “We love building bridges from the Web3 space into other communities like fantasy sports fans. This collaboration with Reignmakers provides a strong opportunity to innovate and bring the value of Web3 to the fantasy sports industry.

Despite the recent decline in the cryptocurrency and non-fungible token (NFT) market, artists, businesses, and musicians keep working together to bring new materials to their fans, customers, and users. The Deadfellaz-DraftKings collaboration is positive for the NFT industry since it demonstrates that more NFT firms are exploiting their IP to reach a bigger audience.
