Ledger, the developer of Web3's leading cold wallet, has now released a new non-fungible token (NFT) and crypto hardware wallet. Users will be able to display their favorite NFTs and safely store over 5,000 coins with the Ledger Stax wallet.

Ledger collaborated with iPod designer Tony Fadell to create the Ledger Stax wallet. The Ledger Stax was designed to be user-friendly and accessible to anyone unfamiliar with Web3.

Digging into Ledger’s proven security technology and trying all the ‘best’ hardware wallets out there convinced me to build a next-gen device with Pascal, Ian and the amazing Ledger team, said Tony Fadell, designer of Ledger Stax and Principal at Build Collective, in a statement. “We need a user-friendly…no! A ‘user-delightful’ tool, to bring digital asset security to the rest of us, not just the geeks.

In comparison to earlier Ledger wallet iterations, the new wallet's UI is far more user-friendly and allows users to manage their NFT collection and more than 500 coins using a touch interface.

Each Ledger Stax includes an Infinity Pass that entitles owners to a free NFT with potential future use. A Ledger Stax NFT may also be purchased on Ledger Market to have access to the company's network of hand-selected artists' unique NFT artwork. Holders of Ledger Market Genesis Passes are given unique mint-priority access to this piece of art.

Web3 is becoming more about "identity and digital ownership," not just cryptocurrencies, according to Pascal Gauthier, CEO and Chairman of Ledger. The Ledger Stax wallet seeks to advance Ledger's goal of offering the most secure storage alternatives for NFTs and digital assets.

Ledger is well recognized for its Ledger Nano line, which is the most successful digital asset security hardware ever created. Over 5 million have been sold, and none have been compromised.

The Ledger Stax will be available for pre-order on Ledger.com in the first quarter of 2023. It is also scheduled to be available in the coming months at shops such as Best Buy in the United States.
