Nascar is giving away 500 NFTs to Celebrate the 2022 Daytona 500

Anyone who bought a ticket to the 2022 Daytona 500 could get a free NASCAR NFT that will be given away though WAX's NFT platform.

Everyone who purchased tickets to the "Great American Race" should have gotten an email inviting them to enter NASCAR's NFT prize. Daytona 500 ticket holders must have a WAX account to enter NASCAR's NFT contest.

In NASCAR's contest, 500 ticket-themed NFTs will be given away. The commemorative NFTs will be available in five different versions, each with 100 editions, according to NASCAR.

NASCAR also announced that five Daytona 500 attendees will get ultra-rare NASCAR helmet NFTs. Signatures from drivers competing in the 2022 Daytona 500 will be on these helmet NFTs. Fans must win one of the first 500 NASCAR Digital Collectibles to receive a unique helmet NFT.

NASCAR executives explained how the rise of digital technology is affecting sports collectibles in a press release posted on February 16, 2022. Younger fans, in particular, experience the same sense of "ownership" with a digital collectible as older fans did with physical trading cards, according to NASCAR.
