Opera Crypto Browser to Allow Instant NFT Minting via Alteon Launchpad
Opera Crypto Browser has teamed up with Alteon LaunchPad to make it simple for beginners in the Web3 or the non-fungible token (NFT) space to mint NFTs. Users will have access to a feature that lets them upload media files into the browser, which then converts the files into NFTs by writing a smart contract and uploading them to a blockchain.
Susie Batt, an executive at Opera, stated that the tool will not charge platform usage fees and will let users freely explore the NFT market. Thus, Users will be able to explore Web3 and contribute to the ecosystem.
“Now, our users will be able to create NFTs instantly and simply with no platform usage fees, encouraging more people to explore the burgeoning NFT industry,” said Batt.
The team believes that users who have no prior knowledge of Web3 will be able to use the tool to access the Web3 economy. This implies that NFTs will be easier to mint by artists from various backgrounds.
The NFT minting tool is provided by Alteon, a project aimed at streamlining operations and workflows. The purpose of this integration, according to Alteon co-founder Matt Cimaglia, is to "level the playing field" for content creators from various backgrounds.
“Our partnership with Opera bridges the tech gap between traditional creatives and the Web3 creator economy, so anyone can benefit from the opportunities that blockchain technologies offer,” said Matt Cimaglia.
On January 19, Opera unveiled a beta version of its Web3 browser for Windows, Mac, and Android, allowing users to access decentralized apps (DApps), games, and metaverse platforms. The app was then launched on the iPhone and iPad on April 15.
With its newest integration with a launchpad, Opera's specialized Web3 browser, the Opera Crypto Browser, has stepped into the realm of non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
