Ozzy Osbourne Purchased Bored Ape Yacht Club
Ozzy Osbourne, an English musician, recently disclosed that he purchased Bored Ape #9939 for 114.99 ETH.
Osbourne bought his pink fur Bored Ape NFT on February 16th at 2:24 PM, according to trading records on OpenSea. He reportedly spent $359,000 at the time of the purchase.
The last known OpenSea sale of Bored Ape #9939 occurred on July 12th, 2021, prior to Ozzy's purchase. The mentioned NFT was purchased for only 4.25 ETH (about $8,650 at the time).
"@MrsSOsbourne and I just picked up this Bored Ape," he told his 5.3 million Twitter followers on his official account.
"CryptoBatz" refers to Osbourne's first NFT project, which he launched in early 2022. Osbourne claims to have created all 9,666 animated bats in the CryptoBatz NFT collection.
CryptoBatz owners can "mutate" their bats after "biting" an NFT in one of five high-profile projects, according to Osbourne. Your CryptoBatz NFT might "bite" CryptoToadz, SupDucks, Alien Frens, and CyberKongz, in addition to the Bored Ape Yacht Club.
Bored Ape #9939, according to Rarity Sniper, is a relatively rare NFT with a rarity score of 88.89. Out of the 10,000 BAYC NFTs, Bored Ape #9939 is ranked 1577. In addition to that, cowboy clothing is the rarest trait; thus, the easy-to-miss rose-patterned shirt is worn by only 119 other Bored Apes.
Ozzy Osbourne has joined a large list of celebrities who have invested in BAYC. Justin Bieber, Eminem, and The Chainsmokers are among the other notable musicians that aped in.
