Solana Run-to-Earn App Stepn Partners with Atlético de Madrid for NFT Sneaker Collection

Web3 lifestyle app Stepn in collaboration with the Spanish soccer team Atlético de Madrid and the cryptocurrency exchange WhaleFin, is launching a set of 1,001 soccer boot non-fungible tokens (NFTs), the firm said on Thursday.

Both Stepn users and soccer fans will benefit more from the new digital soccer cleats. Ownership will also grant unique access to real-life Atlético de Madrid merchandise, live matches, and WhaleFin airdrops. The sneakers are compatible with the app's run-to-earn game.

Since its launch at the start of the year, Stepn has encouraged cryptocurrency enthusiasts and "non-crypto natives" to lace up their running shoes and run around to receive incentives for activity and movement in the form of Green Satoshi Tokens (GST)

Before users can start receiving rewards through the Stepn app, they must purchase a sneaker NFT on Solana. The firm reported second-quarter earnings of $122.5 million for its Solana-based fitness program, which has been expanding over the past year. The NFT sneakers necessary for gameplay are traded for 1.58 SOL ($65) at the floor price.

Now and as per the recent partnership, there will be 1,001 soccer boots in the new Atlético de Madrid collection, and each one belongs to one of three categories: common, uncommon, or rare. The club's 850 common boots are based on its national and international championships, its stadiums are the inspiration for the 140 uncommon boots, and the starting lineup is the subject of the 11 rare boots.

All 1,001 boots are of the "Genesis" variety and give their owners the opportunity to receive special benefits through the Stepn app. Additionally, they provide owners access to prizes on the Whalefin app.

Every NFT owner is instantly entered into a drawing for tickets to a game at Atlético de Madrid's home stadium, Civitas Metropolitano, as well as a vacation and hotel stay.

Holders of uncommon boots will receive an official shirt from the club, while holders of rare boots will receive autographed shirts.
