Tommy Hilfiger is Participating in Decentraland’s Fashion Week
Tommy Hilfiger, a leading fashion brand, has announced that it is participating in the first Decentraland Metaverse Fashion Week (MFW) from March 24th to 27th.
Tommy Hilfiger will showcase its Spring 2022 collections, as well as a "digital retail platform" containing Tommy Hilfiger-crafted non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
Decentraland, a popular 3D decentralized metaverse, made up of 90,601 digital land parcels that can be exchanged, purchased, sold, and monetized in order to earn MANA, the metaverse's native cryptocurrency.
In February, Decentraland's first Metaverse Fashion Week (MFW) was announced, and it would be held in partnership with the luxury marketplace UNXD. Other brands participating include Dolce & Gabbana, Jacob & Co, Selfridges, Hugo, Franck Muller, Garrett Leight, Cavalli, and The Fabricant.
Hilfiger's digital store will be located on Boson Portal, a Decentraland marketplace. Customers will be able to teleport inside the virtual store and shop for virtual things using their avatar.
Hilfiger's signature styles will be reproduced in 3D and available for purchase as NFTs. Owners can even exchange their NFTs for physical things that are delivered to their houses.
You can connect to Decentraland as a visitor to attend MFW, but you must create an account to purchase NFTs.
