Disney is Hiring an NFT Expert
Disney is seeking to onboard an NFT expert to help lead the company’s efforts in the NFT space.
The company recently posted a job offer for a business development manager to help the company get introduced in the NFT industry including monitoring the evolving marketplaces, setting category strategy, and managing key partners, as per the job description. Developing distribution strategies, identifying and securing revenue prospects, and maintaining contacts in the technology sector are among the additional NFT responsibilities.
A director of sales and digital marketing, a culture trend marketing manager, and an ESPN business development and innovation internship are some of the other open opportunities at Disney that deal with NFTs.
Disney isn't acting alone, of course. Since Facebook announced last year that it will change its name to Meta, several well-known brands and companies, including Samsung, Walmart, the Gap, and Konami, have entered or made inroads into the NFT industry.
“When you think about all the copyright and trademarks, characters Disney has, and the NFT possibilities, they’re extraordinary,” former Disney CEO Bob Iger said in a recent The New York Times’ Sway podcast with journalist Kara Fisher, hinting at the company’s foray into NFTs.
