Johnnie Walker Partners with BlockBar to Release its First NFT Collection
Johnnie Walker, a well-known Scotch whisky brand, has just released its first set of collectible whiskey NFTs on the BlockBar platform. These virtual emerald-green bottles, dubbed "Masters of Flavour," are linked to a special 48-year-old Johnnie Walker Masters whiskey held in a Singaporean vault.
To commemorate the release of its first NFT, Johnnie Walker has announced that "Masters of Flavour" collectors will receive a three-day trip to Scotland. NFT holders can visit the Glenkinchie Distillery of Johnnie Walker and experience the brand's finest whiskies. Members of the "Master of Flavour" program will receive a free room in Edinburgh's luxurious Gleneagles Townhouse.
On this debut NFT drop, Johnnie Walker collaborated with Marvel artist Bosslogic. Customers who purchase a "Masters of Flavour" NFT will receive one of Bosslogic's seven unique art NFTs.
Despite the fact that "Masters of Flavour" is Johnie Walker's first official NFT release, the brand has expressed interest in utilizing the web3 technology to interact with connoisseurs. For example, Johnnie Walker recently agreed to send a bottle of its signature Scotch to anyone who has a Gift Goat NFT.
The whiskey brand Johnnie Walker isn't the only one experimenting with digital collectibles. Many spirits companies are interested in adopting NFTs to provide verifiable ownership, VIP experiences, and priceless digital art to collectors.
