RON is Finally Here

Sky Mavis, the team behind the Axie Infinity game, has just announced that the RON token is now live. 

Sky Mavis' objective was always to make games that are interesting, fun, and rewarding for everyone, and this is best accomplished by building open, decentralized foundations that allow everyone to contribute, collaborate, and thrive as a community. Ronin is a key part of that foundation, being developed in response to significant transactional delays encountered while creating and scaling Axie Infinity over the last four years.

Sky Mavis have big plans for Axie Infinity and aim to accomplish its mission by working together with the next generation of NFT game developers to help them realize their creative visions. Thus, working with the gaming industry to build a large-scale gaming ecosystem with a large user base, community-owned protocols and applications. As a result, today's launch of the RON token is considered to be a major turning point for the crypto gaming industry in many respects.

Ronin is now operational and it is important to mention that it scales more NFTs than all other NFT scaling solutions put together. Ronin processed 15% of total NFT volume in 2021, and it is now the second largest bridge in terms of total volume.

RON is the governance token for the Ronin blockchain, and its main goal is to secure and decentralize the network.
